Havas Life London rises from rebrand with eye on global health and rare disease communication

Havas Health Network has rebranded as a U.K. agency. Havas Life Medicom is now Havas Life London, a group focused on brand, corporate and cause-related communications in global health and rare diseases.

The storied advertising and public relations company restructured its operations last year, consolidating most of its agencies into three offerings: Havas Life, Havas Lynx and Jacques. Havas Life became the global health brand. After the change, Havas Life Medicom and its roughly 200 employees continued to handle global medical communications from a site on the outskirts of London.

Now, the group will operate as Havas Life London. Havas called the business “an evolution of Havas Life Medicom,” adding that it builds on existing foundations with access to 200 employees. Havas plans to strengthen the team with new hires in creative and strategy.

The team has specialists in brand strategy, creative content, digital and social and influencer engagement and will deliver “creative impact, enriched customer experience and optimized merged media,” Havas said. The company is looking to new technologies and AI to support “production efficiencies.”

Sarah Mikhailov, Dick Dunford, Susan Walkley and Gaynor Hayburn will continue to lead the team, which is part of a broader Havas European healthcare network led by Anna Maria Marra. Havas Health named Marra, a 22-year Pfizer veteran, CEO of Europe last year.

Havas Life London will work with other agencies across the company, including Havas Red’s life sciences public relations team. The rebranding marks the end of Havas Life Medicom, which the company will no longer use as an active entity name or offering.
