Woven Health Collective has threaded Boundless Life Sciences Group into its organization, acquiring the medical marketing firm to advance its deal-driven growth strategy.
New York-based Woven, which was previously called ClinicalMind, helps biopharma companies with marketing, strategy and scientific communications. Boundless’ offering covers areas including artificial intelligence strategy, commercial consulting and medical communications.
Woven CEO Jeanne Martel outlined the rationale for combining the organizations, saying in a statement, "Bringing Boundless into the Woven family accelerates our ability to deliver innovative, creative marketing and technology-driven solutions that complement our scientific communications expertise. Together we will offer clients unparalleled scale, creativity and impact.”
Woven said the Boundless deal aligns with an ongoing growth strategy that “includes recent acquisitions of learning solutions, publications, strategic consulting and patient- and advocacy-focused medical communications expertise.”
Woven emerged in February through the combination of ClinicalMind and its family of brands. The combination unified brands such as 11TEN Innovation Partners, CM Gather and MedVal to create an organization with services in areas including advertising, medical communications and patient advocacy.
ClinicalMind established the family of brands through a series of deals. The company acquired strategy consulting firm 11TEN and healthcare communications business Sensified last year, adding to earlier buyouts such as the takeovers of MedVal and PharmaWrite in 2021.
The recent deal follows Renovus Capital’s decision to make additional funding available to ClinicalMind. Last year, Renovus raised $325 million to support the medical education business and three other companies. The fund made available “an incremental $60 million of capital to fund strategic acquisitions” by the four companies.
