Invivyd launches ‘Antibodies for Any Body’ campaign with Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn

U.S. Olympic gold medal-winning athlete Lindsey Vonn is once again teaming up with infectious disease biopharma Invivyd for a new campaign centering on antibody-based treatments.

The “Antibodies for Any Body” effort is a national campaign set up to educate the public on the use of antibodies to help protect against disease.

Invivyd said in an April 7 statement that it chose Vonn because her career has been “defined by training with intention, overcoming challenges, and caring for her body from the inside out.”

The campaign features a digital medium in AntibodiesforAnyBody.com, an educational site zeroing in on how antibodies function.

It also includes the “Antibodies for Any Body Wellness Assessment,” an interactive tool that can show how lifestyle habits help with antibody production.

Vonn and Invivyd originally set up a collaboration agreement back in January, when Vonn was gearing up for her fifth Winter Olympics in Italy. This came after a 2024 knee replacement surgery that enabled the Olympian to reverse her previous retirement from the sport.

This was also not her first foray into the world of pharma marketing: Four years ago, Vonn also signed up to be one of several spokeswomen for insomnia drug maker Idorsia and its sleep medicine Quviviq.

Vonn had hoped to bring hope another medal home in the downhill event at the Winter Games this year, but during a run she suffered a severe, complex leg fracture and ankle break that has required multiple surgeries to help fix.

Addressing the crash, Invivyd said: “While the campaign partnership began before her recent crash and subsequent recovery journey, the core message of the initiative, empowering individuals to understand and support their immune health, remains central to Vonn’s wellness philosophy.”

Invivyd emerged in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as Adagio Therapeutics before rebranding to its current moniker in 2022.

After a rollercoaster few years attempting to get its first antibody-based COVID prevention/treatment offering over the FDA finish line, Invivyd finally secured emergency use authorization for another monoclonal antibody for pre-exposure prophylaxis, now known as Pemgarda, in March 2024.

Additionally, the company has antibody-based therapies in early development for long COVID, RSV and measles, according to its online pipeline.
